Ann was born in Coventry and grew up in the leafy surroundings of Warwickshire. She attended Coventry College of Art,where she was taught by Terry Frost and Michael Sandle, gaining a degree in Fine Art in 1966 before going on to a postgraduate course at London University Institute of Education, followed by a successful teaching career. She has worked as a professional artist since 1998. Ann exhibits at The Gallery, Dunchurch, near Rugby. She is a founder member and former Chairman of Rugby Artists' Support Group, former Chairman of the Association of Midland Artists, a member of the Tantalus Project, Leamington Studio Artists and Rugby and District Art Society. She also takes part in Warwickshire Arts Week. A number of her paintings have been reproduced as greetings cards and fine art prints and she is represented by the Bridgeman Art Library, the leading source of fine art images.
